ASTRO BOY

 

Takadanobaba, Tokyo. April 2010

Once stepping onto the platform of the JR line at Takadanobaba station I was greeted with the Astro Boy theme song, as I made my way out of the station via the Seibu exit there stood an Astro Boy mural wall. The mural wall was impressive, it really brought the street to life, the colours the images the large backdrop. I later researched into the significance of this particular station to Astro Boy, and turns out that Takadonababa was the workplace of the late creator of the anime Mr Tezuka Osamu.
